I took the Out of Eden "Get Inspired" blub for Footstep #9 and created this chart/activity for students to complete prior to the introduction of Footstep #9. I had them pair up as the milestones are limited.  After the pairs talked about their choices and completed their charts, we came together as a class, and groups shared their choices in terms of what Paul provides, a summary, and their reflections and questions about the individual and his/her response (using the Project Zero Visual Thinking approach of 'See-Think-Wonder').  The goal/learning target of this activity was for students to see how certain variables (age, occupation, environment) affect not just experiences, but also perceptions about themselves and the world they live in.
